A little bit about Ashley
I grew up playing the piano, the drums, and every sport that was available to me. Towards the end of high school, I specialized in Track and Field, more specifically, shot put and discus. I attended college at Brigham Young University where I had the opportunity to continue competing in discus, shot put, hammer, and the weight throw. While in college, I struggled with anxiety and self confidence related to my chosen sport. I took a sport psychology class to try and learn more about how I could overcome these obstacles. This class was the launching point to rest of my education and my career thus far. Since that class, I graduated from BYU with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and then further advanced my education with a Master's degree in Sport and Performance Psychology at the University of Utah.
After graduating, I moved to Kansas and began working with Soldiers in the United States Army. Just like athletes and musicians, our Service Members perform every day! I have worked with helicopter pilots, snipers, Special Forces, adaptive sport athletes, surgeons, EMTs, military police officers (and their dogs), nurses, Army Rangers, Drill Sergeants, new recruits studying for test within their specialty, seasoned leaders studying for advancement to the ranks of Colonel and General, individuals from the Army Band, the Army 10-Miler team, Soldiers recovering from injury, and many, many more. In addition to teaching performance psychology skills, I became a lead instructor for the Army's Master Resilience Training program. This program teaches people how to increase mental toughness so that when the challenges and stresses of life build (or suddenly appear), people have the skills they need to thrive. This was one of the most rewarding jobs I have ever had, and I absolutely loved working with the Army.
In 2020, I found something that I love even more and in 2021, I moved to Texas so that I could marry him. My husband and I live in Katy, Texas. I am pleased to offer my coaching services to interested clients in the Houston metropolitan area. Additionally, I accept virtual coaching clients from across the nation. If you are interested in learning more about how I can help you or someone you know, please call, text, or email. The initial consultation is free.
